The Next Level on Your Journey as a Human
The Next Level on Your Journey of Discovery
Ask yourself:
Are we evolving spiritually?
Are we trailblazing inwards?
Looking for new inner frontiers?
A lot has been accomplished in the last few decades especially regarding tech. However, although we’re exploring outer space, we still don’t know the depths of our oceans.
So:
Are we keeping up? Or are we still using outdated mental data from past centuries?
Mostly, we’re still operating on a tribal based model: us and them. Our tribe and the enemy tribe.
More for used to mean that we would flourish. Less for others meant more for us.
Until recently, that worked, but now we’ve reached the point where the planet can’t sustain that kind of model. Greed just isn’t working anymore..
The real question is, when is enough actually enough?
We keep thinking we need more to be happy.
“If I only can do this, play that, reach the next goal, then I’ll be happy.”
It’s been driving humans for centuries.
But it has left out the “being” part of us.
That is the gift of music.
You can’t hold onto it. It literally disappears into thin air…
You can only experience it in the moment it occurs.
That brings awareness. Especially if you’re the one playing!
You are just an ear, listening and responding. Personality drops and only your being remains.
You can of course strive to improve, learn new skills.
That’s part of the fun and challenge of life.
But what about the part where you just appreciate what’s there? Drink in the world around you? That’s were “being” comes in.
That’s the next step.
Being touched by the wonder of it all.
Touched in our essential being.
This happens especially when creating music.
Exactly because it’s so momentary.
Music can reach us so deeply.
Literally beyond words.
A vibration in air.
What happens when we are just in the moment with sound?
It’s a meditation.
So, the next stop is the inner revolution, the inner discovery, trailblazing to your center.
There’s lots of help out there, lots of ways to move forward.
Therapy has become an accepted part of life.
Coaches are expected to help you not only in sports, but in other parts of your world as well.
We are moving forward.
Your music helps you move forward and helps others too.
We need to move into our prefrontal cortex (where we are in the NOW) and out of our reptile brain (Amygdala) where we react to past situations.
THE PRACTICE
Start with some movement with awareness like Yoga or Qi Gong to get the energy in your body moving.
Put on “Meditations”, of my most popular tracks from my Zen Spa Album:
Follow that with some meditation to settle your mind.
Now you’re ready to make some meditative music.
Now you’re ready to make some meditative music.
